About BGS Global Institute of Dental Sciences
BGS Global Institute of Dental Sciences — popularly known as BGS GIDS — is a young, forward-looking dental college established on January 17, 2024. It operates under the umbrella of the BGS & SJB Group of Institutions, which is managed by the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (Registered), a philanthropic educational trust with a history spanning more than five decades.
The aspiration to establish a dedicated dental college had long been nurtured by the BGS management. For years, the BGS Global Hospital campus had hosted a dental department under the BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences, providing dental care to thousands of patients. The formal inauguration of BGS GIDS in January 2024 represented the natural evolution of this commitment — creating an institution exclusively dedicated to excellence in dental education, research and patient care.
From the very first day, BGS GIDS has been committed to the belief that great dentistry is built on three pillars: scientific knowledge, clinical skill, and human compassion. Our curriculum, faculty, infrastructure and campus environment are all designed to nurture these qualities in every student who walks through our doors.
The institution benefits from being part of one of India’s most comprehensive health-education ecosystems. The BGS Health & Education City in Kengeri is home to a medical college, a super speciality hospital, schools of pharmacy, physiotherapy and nursing, along with schools ranging from primary to pre-university level. For dental students, this means access to a vibrant, multi-disciplinary academic community and unmatched clinical exposure from Day 1.
