A Legacy of 50+ Years in Education and Service

BGS GIDS draws its institutional character from the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (Registered) — one of Karnataka’s most respected educational and philanthropic trusts. Established in 1973 under the stewardship of His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji, the 71st pontiff of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math in Nagamangala Taluk, Mandya District, the Trust was founded with a singular purpose: to advance education and the diffusion of knowledge without distinction of caste or creed.

Over more than five decades, the Trust has grown into one of India’s largest educational trusts, managing over 500 educational institutions across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and New Delhi, collectively serving more than one million students every year. The institutions span every level of education — from kindergarten and primary schools to engineering, medical, nursing, pharmacy, ayurvedic and management colleges, and doctoral programmes.

The Trust is currently presided over by His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji, the 72nd pontiff of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Math and President of the Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust. Under his leadership, the Trust continues to expand its reach and deepen its commitment to quality, inclusiveness and service.

The BGS and SJB Group of Institutions

The BGS (Budhi Gnana Sangama) and SJB Group of Institutions represent the educational arm of the Trust in and around Bengaluru. Together, they manage a diverse portfolio of institutions catering to students from kindergarten through to postgraduate and doctoral studies. The group is known for its emphasis on holistic development — combining intellectual rigour, physical fitness and spiritual grounding.

Sri Sri Dr. Prakashanath Swamiji serves as the Managing Director of the BGS & SJB Group of Institutions and Hospitals, bringing visionary leadership, a passion for innovation and an abiding commitment to student welfare to the institution.

The Trust has a global presence: the Sri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana has international foundations in Flint, Michigan (USA) and Berlin, Germany. This global reach enriches the BGS community with diverse perspectives and international academic opportunities.
